Undeniable – Shannon Richard

Undeniable - Shannon Richard***Disclaimer: I got an e-copy of this book for free from NetGalley.com in exchange for my honest opinion. So here it is!***

Summary:

Grace King has been in love with Jaxson Anderson since she was 6. As her big brother’s best friend, he has always protected her from the local gossip about her absent father. But Jax’s home life left him feeling unworthy and undeserving of happiness. Can Grace prove to Jax that he’s not just what she deserves, he’s what she needs?

Review:

There are so many amazing sub-plots within this story! It’s not your average straight-forward romance. An uptight woman airs the towns dirty laundry on her blog, several local homes and businesses are being robbed, one of the characters is accidentally outed, and a trio of guys are harassing Grace. The characters are extremely authentic, right down to their insecurities. And there are LOTS of characters. This is the second in the debut series by the author and she is clearly developing the relationships that will be the focus of future novels. I’m hooked for sure, and after reading the excerpt, I’m especially looking forward to “Unstoppable,” available December 3rd!

Dangerous Curves Ahead – Sugar Jamison

Dangerous Curves Ahead - Sugar Jamison***Disclaimer: I got an e-copy of this book for free from NetGalley.com in exchange for my honest opinion.***

Summary:

Mike Edwards is the last person Ellison Garret expected to see again. The last time she saw him was at her law-school graduation party, in nothing but his Calvins, in her bedroom… with her sister! Even after the complete spectacle she made, throwing them out of her apartment, Mike doesn’t recognize her when they run into each other four years later! When he realizes who she is, he’s interested in getting to know her better, and being more than friends. But after the way her ex treated her, will Ellis ever be able to trust a hunk like Mike with her heart? Neither is looking for love and marriage, but sometimes love hits you when you’re not looking!

Review:

Buy this book right now! And then pre-order the next two! I know I do a lot of gushing in some of these reviews, but this is one of the best books I have read in a VERY long time! Sugar Jamison is one to keep an eye on folks! After finishing this book, I stalked her down on all the social media sites I could find her on so that I wouldn’t miss anything! Ellis is delightfully sassy without being a snob, and Mike is incredibly thoughtful, with just a hint of attitude. The character dynamics (especially with their families) really push this book above and beyond. It’s not a straightforward boy-meets-girl love story. It’s complicated and messy and real and completely fantastic! Why are you still reading this review, when you could be reading the book?!!? Get it now!

Surrender to Sultry – Macy Beckett

Surrender***Disclaimer: I got an e-copy of this book for free from NetGalley.com in exchange for my honest opinion.***

Summary:

Leah McMahon has returned home after 10 long years hiding out in Minnesota. Of course, one of the first people she runs into is Sheriff Colton Bea, the man who broke her heart and tarnished her reputation all those years ago. Colton has changed since his wild and reckless days of his youth. Now that he finally has the chance, he intends to prove to Leah just how good he can be. But Leah has changed as well, and she’s not the Angel she once was. And her secret is bigger and more life changing than he could ever imagine.

Review:

Whoa! And I mean, WHOA! Surrender to Sultry is the 3rd and final book in the Sultry Springs series by Macy Beckett. And it is by far the best of the three! When I heard that the 3rd book was going to be about the sleazy, womanizing Colt, I didn’t think I was going to like it. How could a jerk like that find someone to put up with him? But in the 2 years that have passed since the last book, Colt HAS changed. He’s laid off the drinking and the women and actually become a respectable guy. And when Leah comes back, he puts a lot of effort into regaining her trust. When they finally go on a real date, I just about cried at how adorable it was! I’m not going to give away Leah’s big secret, but when she finally tells Colt, he’s just devastated. But then he actually comes to realize that while what she did may have been wrong, it was definitely the right thing to do. Beckett has done a phenomenal job creating deep, lovable characters that you just can’t help but bond with. I recommend reading the first 2 in the series (Sultry with a Twist and A Shot of Sultry) as well, so you can really see the transformation Colt goes through.

P.S. This comes out tomorrow, so make sure you get a copy!
